I was the first to implement Foveated rendering in Unity as a part of my MSc by Research work. Many eye tracking companies got in contact and multiple wonderful opportunities came out from this project. Most VR headsets in the near future will feature eye tracking and some will feature Foveated rendering.
In my MSc by Res project I also did an implementation of shaders in Unity to display content for multiscopic screens, which as far as I'm aware of, is the first such implementation for live-generated content. Moreover I invented, implemented and evaluated a number of other optimisation techniques in my thesis.
