Vertical Aerospace Immersive Experience

I developed the Vertical Aerospace Immersive Experience, a native Apple Vision Pro app created for Atlantic Productions, who partnered with Vertical Aerospace to showcase the VX4, their fully electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.

The app was built using Unity PolySpatial for Apple Vision Pro and launched at Farnborough International Airshow 2024, where visitors could experience the VX4 up close in spatial computing. The goal was to give people a clearer, more memorable way to understand the aircraft, its engineering, and the future of electric flight.

Instead of presenting the VX4 through a flat screen, brochure, or video, the experience brings the aircraft into the viewer's physical space. Users can explore the aircraft at close range, learn about its key engineering features, and experience the VX4 in flight. On Apple Vision Pro, the scale, detail, and presence of the aircraft become much easier to communicate.

A big part of the project was making the experience feel intuitive for people who may never have used Vision Pro before. The app needed to work well in a busy event setting, while still feeling polished, immersive, and easy to navigate. I focused on creating a spatial experience that let users move naturally through the aircraft story and interact with the content in a clear, simple way.

The project also included spatial and interactive sound design by 1618 Digital, powered by atmoky trueSpatial™, which helped bring the aircraft and flight experience to life with more presence and realism.
